Baylor's cycle?

What you don't get is that Baylor has finally changed its mindset towards athletics as a PR and fundraising tool.

In the last 10 years, Baylor has more than quadrupled its athletics budget. As a result, we have been hiring (and keeping) great coaches, have significantly increased recruiting budgets, and majorly improved the environment for athletes on campus. All of this while keeping high academic standards.

No doubt, RG3 is an awesome football player. But the team around him continues to improve in a major way.

Brittney Griner the only one? Did you miss AP all-american Odyssey Sims and Tournament first teamer Destiny Williams?

Did you also notice the #4 recruiting class in men's basketball?

If this is a cycle - it's a long term one. Maybe you can make Baylor your second favorite team and cheer for them on off days.

Oklahoma State, Kansas State, & Baylor are proof that the Big 12 is better, top to bottom, than the SEC (in football at least). How long has it been since Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Old Miss, Mississippi State, et al. dominated the SEC, especially all in the same year? (I won't even mention the Big 10 & the PAC 12 since they are so much further down the football food chain). I can't wait to see the new ESPN contract. Sounds like a hunting license with guaranteed ammo and the ACC as the target. Should be a fun summer. It will be nice to be the hunter instead of the hunted.

Baylor is the college equivalent to global warming. It's their cycle to win. Good for them. No excessive amounts of CO2(cheating), just a sign of the times. Good for the struggling Big 12. Bet Stoopsy doesn't take them lightly anymore.

I've never been there, but have sometimes wondered if Aggie "Fish Camp" is so brainwashing that they cannot imagine anyone loving another school! I'm so glad the word is getting out about how wonderful 4 years at Baylor University can be! Sic 'em, Bears! So glad our sports programs are attracting more young people to a great school and environment! Thanks to all the staff, athletes, and coaches for ending the competitive drought!

Baylor football is absolutely nothing without RG3. Baylor women's basketball is absolutely nothing without Griner. Baylor men's basketball didn't win the big twelve, and did get to the elite eight (commendable). It is way too early to call any shots on baylor baseball considering they haven't even played A&M or Texas (good teams) yet.
Sorry Baylor, your cinderella sports year is a one time deal...at least in football and womens basketball. Only 2 athletes put the school on the map, and now they are gone. The chance of landing similar recruits are slim at best, especially since TCU is a private school fighting for recruits only a couple hundred miles away.
Honestly, I do not dislike baylor, I was happy for them this year. I just don't want anyone to believe the hype that baylor is a powerhouse now. Especially with west virginia (elite competition) and TCU (eh) joining the Big XII, their chances dwindle even more.

Hurray for the Baylor Bears - Women's Basketball Team. A perfect season and a great final victory for the National Championship.

Baylor completely deserves this title, not to mention the football team and their quarterback and the good year for the men!!!

Sign me a "Husker fan" but I know a good team when I watch them!!!!

And on top of that... even when they were on the bottom of the pile in athletics... Baylor has always been a fine place to get an education. Remember education?

Want to know the truth? Young athletes are discovering that both Baylor and Waco are not such bad places to live and to study.

You will find that most student athletes at Baylor end up absolutely in love with their school.... to include RG3 and BG!
