I agree with you that the Spurs very well could, but, Berry, you have a tendency to oversimplify your arguments. As Mark pointed out, matchups are key in the NBA. Just saying that such and such teams stink or that two opponents are washes in regards to one's matchup against the Spurs and another's matchup against the Thunder doesn't really make a point. The Spurs and the Thunder play very two different brands of basketball and have very different personnel. In order to make a case one way or the other, a detailed breakdown of each game individually pointing out key advantages and disadvantages would be the only way to make some sort of argument as to who will come out as the one seed.

As a long time Spurs fan in OKC now having 2 teams I can cheer for I see only one reason why and why it won't happen and that is Gregg Popovich. He has proved several times in the past that seeding doesn't mean anything to him. He wont push it just to get the 1 seed. But he also is the 1 true advantage the spurs has over the thunder. Match ups mean everything in the NBA including Coaches. I like Brooks vrs anyone in league except Popovich. If he out coaches Brooks down the stretch and in the playoffs the Spurs have the advantage. If not the Thunder have the better players.
