It not only hurts the Big 12, it kills K-State mens basketball. Mark my word, because of PC Martin will win an NCAA Basketball Campionship within 10 years, just not at K-STATE.

No matter how you slice it, K-State took another quantum leap backwards in losing Martin…for a University that’s literally never won anything in terms of championships the administration seems bent on continuing that losing tradition at all costs. This one is on the AD for losing martin and what “real” coach wants to play for that school. Horrible day for K-State Athletics…probably time to consider getting out of Division 1 athletics.

I would also like to add that college athletics have become a sewer. These are educational institutions, not professional sports teams. I’m sick and tired of the million dollar coaches and ESPN looking for inventory so it can make billions off of cable rights fees.

Kansas State University should be worried about the quality of the educational institution and success of its students, not how many basketball games its won. I wish boosters and alumni would be more concerned about school and not games. Hey, it’s fun to tailgate, but this is out of control.

He’s running from the NCAA, major rules infractions. The NCAA should also be in Waco, thats just plain rediculous down there.

Quick thought, though messageboard chatter and overly reported rumors from unnamed sources that originated on fanblogs would have you believe that Martin and Currie did not get along, both of them have stated that while they did not always agree on everything, there was no rift between them.

Correction. Huggins did not coach KSU to the NCAA. They made the NIT in his only year there. The following year, with his recruits (namely Beasley & Walker) they did make the NCAA.
