I think it helps having a head coach who was a darn good quarterback himself leading the way. I think he can bring out the best in the group we have at OSU. I don't know who will emerge as the starter, maybe Chelf, his brother sure had a great game as OSU receiver vs. Stanford. Maybe he has the stuff in him to be a big-time winner. Interested to see what Wes Lunt can do also. And I think OSU has a fair share of quality receivers back for next year. 11-1? I don't know. Extremely competitive, you bet your bippy.

For the last time TrollJoel, the truth is that Weeden called both schools. He called oSu first because that was his first pick. He didn't "want" to go to ou. He was just calling to let them know he was looking at schools.
Blackmon never wanted to go to ou either. In fact, if you can pull your retarded head out of your bum, then as an ou fan you should be able to recall that Broyles was originally going to oSu, not vice versa.

So get over your whole lying crap that you come on here and spew every so often. The truth is, that this year ou didnt get the first picks, and in fact had several defectors as well as recruits de-committing.

So, in short, please have a big piece of "shut the he*& up".

To think OSU will have as good a season next year as this past year is not reasonable. If OSU fans TRULY believe that OSU will go 11-1 and win the Big XII then if OSU goes 9-3 or 8-4 they should be outraged and demand Gundy's head. OSU should be able to control the rebuilding somewhat and shouldn't drop as far as Texas did, but do expect a drop. Look at TCU. They went from Rose Bowl winner one year to a pretty good team the next. That is a reasonable drop for a good program. Auburn went from Champion to a not very good team. So, fans should have reasonable expectations. Enjoy the good years and REALLY enjoy the GREAT years, but expect some not so good years from time to time. This past year was a GREAT year and next year will probably be a good year.

OSU was fortunate to get Weeden and Blackmon (both of them wanted to go to OU but weren't offered a scholarship) and they led them to the greatest season in OSU's history. I see things going back to normal with OSU being a middle of the pack team for the next few years losing 5-6 games per year. The unfortunate truth is that OU is pretty much always going to get 1st pick of the best recruits but every once in awhile guys like Weeden get through and it turns out he was the greatest QB in OSU history. Hope OSU fans enjoyed the year they had because Haley's comet only hits once in a lifetime!

I don't see a big drop-off by the Cowboys next year. Sure we must replace the best QB and WR in the country but Gundy has built a strong foundation that is used to winning. Our coaches are better than the Texas coaches. We have 3 great running backs returning next year and we will use them more to create a more ball control offense that will eat up the clock and sustain drives, one thing we have been missing which has put too much pressure on our defense. Plus, Coach Young will have more talent on D next year, look for them to be much improved.

Our QB and WR's will get their numbers because of our strong running game next year. The Pokes will compete for the Big 12 title again and it will all come down to Bedlam in November!

I don't see the "similarity" to Texas at all. You have to really stretch to make that case. The biggest problem at UT was that their QB (Gilbert) didn't pan out, and McCoy and Ash have yet to show anything at all. OSU, by contrast, has Clint Chelf, who acquitted himself well in the games he got into, which were numerous since OSU won so many games by wide margins. He will make the transition from Weeden much easier, and if Walsh or even Lunt can beat him out, it means they are playing extremely well. As far as WRs, I just don't buy the "thin at the position" that Berry suggests.
