@Nick, not green with envy at all. I'll take OU's tradition over Oklahoma State's any day....and for that matter, any other team in college football.

Happy for the Pokes and I'm a proud Oklahoman so I root for both state schools. If the money is even that is great, it will never be even on the football field, however.

Along with Bama the Sooners are the most tradition-laden college football team in history. Sooners just have too much history/tradition for the Cowboys to overcome. Here's to Oklahoma State continuing to improve and doing our state proud.

"Your football fans were bought with T-Boone’s money….Sooner fans were made through generations of winning tradition."

Gotta comment on Dale's statement. Sooner fans weren't bought with oil money also? Give me a break. Yes, OU has a great tradition of winning, but how did that tradition begin? It began after the John Steinbeck novel "The Grapes of Wrath" and Oklahoma wanting to improve its image nationally. Some of those methods are well documented in the book "Presidents Can't Punt". No one is squeaky clean, and no program today can prosper without large beneficiaries. Boone has done a lot for OSU, but it hasn't all gone into the athletic program. He's supported the sciences and the arts as well. We're very appreciative of his support. You can make fun of it all you want. Just shows your green envy side. We're about even now, as far as financial backing. You've had the BIG advantage for 50 some years. It's just an even playing field now, and you can't stand that.

I support the Pokes other then when they play OU but for Poke fans to say, "You never saw us complain about playing Texas and Tech away 2 years in a row." OU played Oklahoma State back to back when it was considered to be the deciding game to who goes to the National Championship. Texas wasn't nearly the top dog and Tech was awful but punished OU for it's lack of focus. Same could goes as for Iowa State beating Oklahoma State.

In the Big 12 everyone has to play great football to be in the National Championship otherwise we all sit here and whine because of mistakes. It's part of College Football and if you want to be clearly the best then you need to prove it. LSU almost did it last year but since they performed poorly in the last game or same could go for Alabama (1st game against LSU), everyone will argue.

I'm a Sooner fan and you won't see me complaining about the Sooner schedule. The last three weeks of the season will be heaven for me and hopefully we come out on top. Just got to learn to deal with it.

Now I get it, Jason. The Sooners aren't the rival of Texas.
Guess that's why you emptied the Cotton Bowl in the second
half, and you can ignore the Stoops to Brown head to head
matchup. Now Horn arrogance has reached the level that NO
ONE is their rival, since A&M is gone. Laughable.

Why all the Poke fans obsessing about the Sooners? I've met way more bandwagon Poke fans that never had a Pistol Pete bumper sticker/flew the car flag and never said a word until a year or two ago about how great their football team was/is. Your football fans were bought with T-Boone's money....Sooner fans were made through generations of winning tradition.

Relax Cowboy fans....you're good at football and we're noticing and we're proud/happy for our fellow Oklahomans. Something that Poke fans need to be honest with themselves about is that Texas is our rival....already taken in that regard. I'm good with the Horns losing every game.

On the other hand, I always root for the Pokes when OU's not playing them and most Sooner fans I know are this way. Here's to another great year coming up for the Sooners and Pokes and let's quit all the inter-state hate = we'll leave that to the Bama's and Auburn's of the world as well as the Horns and A&M.
