I think the number of bowls needs to be contracted and a limit of 25 needs to be in place. There needs to be the value and reward returned of actually making a bowl, rather than having the post season diluted by .500 teams where 2 of their wins were even against an FCS opponents.

The Gator Bowl pays substantially less (about $650,000 less per team) so I’d rather go to Tempe…but the Outback Bowl would be interesting. They aren’t severing their SEC tie-in anytime soon but wouldn’t most people prefer SEC/Big XII instead of an extremely repetitive SEC/Big 10 match-up? The two bowls pay similarly…I’d expect the Outback would fit in nicely between the Cotton Bowl and Alamo Bowl.

I wish OKC or Tulsa would build an indoor football stadium and host a bowl game, ie. Native American Bowl, ect., ect…Have all the high school playoffs in 73 degree temps, maybe host OU-OSU game and split the fans 50/50.

I wish the Big 12 would cut ties to that bowl anyway and get connected to the Gator or Outback Bowl. ONE bowl in the DESERT is enough! Let our landlocked states get back into Florida to play now and then!
