Last year the Thunder lost to the Clippers in LA (actually twice, but I’m referring to the first one), and it was the Clippers only win during their 1-13 start. This outcome seems similar. Last year, the season turned out pretty nice, though.

You’re no NBA expert? Then why are you writing for the state’s biggest newspaper in the sports department? Look Berry, the Thunder lost on the road by 3 lousy points. A loss is a loss but this is just 1 game in a 66 game season. You can’t put much stock in what happened on Wednesday night. Our guys didn’t crash the boards enough, that is why we lost.

I think there is a reason the Thunder lost the game, and it has to do with DC being Kevin Durant’s hometown. I don’t think they will share why they played the way they did, but it was exactly as Durant wanted things done. Contrary to what Pat Riley would like you to believe, there are throwaway games in the NBA regular season. If one of the top 5 players in the world wants a star turn in his hometown, no one is going to question anything, including the result.
