BCS plus 1. Look it up. Your conference had it's chance back in 2008 to push for this, but knew going this route would allow for more SEC dominance in the BCS title game than it already has. In this setup OSU would be the plus 1. As this is being typed the SEC team that LSU and Bama beat the crap out of just shut down K-State. I know, I know, we'll never know will we!

Exactly right Tim and Chilly. A bad team in a even worse conference can have a great win-loss record. I live in Missouri so I want both the Big 12 and SEC to be at the top. My point is football pollsters have to mental capacity to judge a conference by more than last year's or even this year's top team. We will never know if Alabama or LSU are better or worse than OSU and K-State this year (whoever voted for the rematch is not interested in a National Championship game), and now we know for sure that Georgia lost... and OSU is a little better than Stanford..... and Baylor is better than Washington,.... and Missouri is way better than the best run defense and good ACC passing attack North Carolina... Texas(ranked a little too high) is better than California. Oklahoma better than a good Big 10 team Iowa, A&M etc. So hopefully next year the BCS rules change or we get some voters who really want to see a National Championship. To be fair I did say that some of the bowls had reasonable match ups for comparison of the conferences, and this made the 2011/12 bowl season worth watching. I won't be watching the 2nd most boring game of the century and neither will any football man who supports teams getting ranked and placed in post season competition that leads to the best possible final ranking thereby helping athletes get the credit they deserve whether going pro in football or any other competitive endeavor and we can all vote with our televisions and it will matter to advertisers and the networks will listen. If anyone follows this letter up with this year's SEC bowl results against other conferences this will per'fect the truth of how we all got cheated in the more mythical than ever before "BCS championship" 2012

You miss the point, Vic...Jeff's comparisons were about where each team finished in it's conference....not the won-loss records. He was not contrasting won-loss records...did you not learn the difference between compare/contrast?

Incorrect, Iowa had five losses.

Besides you are an SEC fanboy, no? Why do you concern yourself with the goings on of the "inferior" Big 12?

So far Big 12 is more impressive than last year which was nearly running the table. Not given enough weight in this year's rankings. More telling is the Big 12 wins have come against other conference's standing finishers in about the same position or again other conferences higher ranking finishers. A&M tied for 7th in the Big 12, Northwestern roughly in the same position in the Big 10. Iowa roughly in the same position as Oklahoma. Missouri roughly the same rank Big 12 as NCarolina in ACC and they destroyed the ACC best run defense, imagine what Josey would have looked like. Iowa State beat Iowa and Oklahoma State buy might have made a good Rutgers team look a little better than they actually were. Baylor in roughly the same conference rank as Washington, this ESPN telecast was just as rich as Missouri's (41 points put the subs in), they had a spin man droning "don't enjoy Baylor's killer attack two much because the game of football (in the SEC) is really superior in low scoring games (he was really begging us to watch the rematch of the most boring football game telecast ever). 5 year old boys know the team with the most points always wins. Texas roughly in the same position as UCLA. My point is that the Big 12 is not getting thrown softballs. K-State and Oklahoma State now have the table set to not only make their own programs proud but to let every Big 12 follower say "go play in the SEC corner by yourselves while the Big 12, Big 10, and Pac 12, play the real national challenge bowls"
