Matt Millen is an idiot! How can he laugh at helmet-to-helmet hits???!? I'm watching the Tostitos Bowl. Does he really not understand the damage done by those tackles or is it possible he suffered one too many himself?

Well, Austinpoke, what are you doing?? I don't remember OU saying the reason they won in 2009 and 2010 was because of OSU injuries nor do I remember not reading stuff about OSU's injuries. Sure, they were a factor. It doesn't necessarily mean the outcome would have been different, but there is no doubt that having those guys would have impacted how the offense and defense played. OU won in 2009 and 2010....period...OSU won this year....period....that aside...injuries matter..look at the Colts without Peyton Manning....is there any doubt they would have a different record with him on the field? Accept your win for what it is and move on...clearly younare more bothered by it than Sooner nation. What bothers Sooner nation is HOW the team played, not who played.

In 2010, OSU's best offensive player (Justin Blackmon) basically played on one leg due to a severe ankle sprain.

In 2009, OSU played without their best offensive player (Dez Bryant), and their QB (Zac Robinson) shouldn't have played in the game due to a concussion and a bad shoulder.

All teams have injuries late in the season.........I don't remember OSU fans using them as an excuse for the Bedlam losses in 2009 and 2010.

That is exactly why I am warning them....play poorly and get ready for the criticism...I support the Big 12. Hope all win their bowl games. OSU will be under the microscope for many reasons...should they have played for the BIG one?? I think they should have. But a poor performance at the Fiesta will cast doubt not just on them, but the entire conference...just like OU's BCS debacles.

Hey Tim, I'm an OU fan also, but I won't be warning the Cowboys about how to represent the Big 12. Do you remember OU's BCS bowl record? Anyway, as an Oklahoman, I hope the 'Pokes 1st BCS experience is similar to the Sooners. I want all 3 of our FBS teams to win their bowls.

All teams have injuries....when is the last time OSU played without 2/3rds of their offensive firepower and without 3-4 players on defense for 6 straight games?

It has nothing to do with sooner magic....if you ever bought into that...what Millen is intimating is OU ended the season with a much different team that it started with. Not taking anything away from OSU. The OU game plan and execution was poor to say the least. I graded it an F-. OSU won, but it didn't beat the team that walloped Texas in October. That is just a fact. No mystery and certainly no magic. Accept your victory for what it is. Let's trade places injury wise and then match records. Good luck against Stanford....I hope your run defense is better than it was against ISU because Stanford plays smash mouth football. You guys now have the pressure to uphold the conference pride...I certainly hope you win and you better, too, or it will get ugly with the media and talking heads. You are the flagship of the Big 12....the conference's reputation depends on the magic you can conjure. Quit trying to justify your win over OU....that's laughable....any win is a win...move on...there are bigger fish waiting little brother....

What about that SOONER magic ? I didn't think even injuries could stop that inevitable magic that helped OU build their spandex and mullet empire. OState has been hurt going into the bedlam game and it was an excuse.

Think Matt got some things right...give him credit...the team OU put on the field at the end of the season was NOT the team that won their first 6 games. Injuries matter...on any team....in the Tech game 5 starters were injured and did not play. From that point on, OU had a patchwork team and is still playing with one on Friday. Take the key players at the key positions off of any team and see how they fare. My OSU friends...would you want to trade places - take 3 of your D-linemen/LB out plus a corner, plus your offensive firepower....Weeden and Blackmon...play for 7 games without them....see how you fare...
