We need a big ol and dl plus a 235 lb 6′ 2″ Rb that runs down hill.Before we can compete at the big-12 level I’m not a bubble buster because I love the mountaineers.So don’t take me wrong.I think it will be about 5years before we’ll be a great,not that we’re not great now.We just need to be bigger to block all the big-12′s lines,we do that we’ll be great.

Wow, very impressive band! I am a University of Texas alumnus and I for one and very glad that WVU is coming to the Big 12.

We will be rooting for you when WVU plays Clemson in the Orange Bowl. You have every reason to be proud of your band, your university and your state!

Looking forward to seeing our new conference member in September 2012!

I heard the broadcast of the introduction at halftime in 1978 through a radio. When the Oklahoma pressbox anounced “And Now” The Proud of West Virginia, The Mountaineer Marching Band, it gave me goosebumps. When I was done listening, it made me very emotional and I was all pumped up. Today, I am fifty years old and I still get choked up when they welcome the Mountaineer band. The pride is still there. There is nothing about coming to the Big 12 that mountaineer fans can’t get excited about. I live in Texas and can’t wait to get into playing football in the Big12. Mountaineer Fan.

WVU’s band is the best in the land no question , they win the ” heisman ” ( for bands ). There isn’t many bands that can bring a tear to the eyes of an entire state as they are truly The Pride of West Virginia ! As for the Big 12 , We are so glad to be part of a great home. Look forward to making new rivals . Let’s Gooooooo !!!

Thanks for the comments…we take pride in all our sports and our beautiful state. The Pride is one of the best. I hope you all will get the opportunity to see them for we thank the Big 12 for giving us the opportunity to become a better program against the talent in the Big 12. Go Mountaineers!

WVU band knows the way to Norman. Band traveled to the OU v WVU game in 1978. Very hot day. I think JC Watts is still running for TDs.

As a WVU fan, thanks for the good PR. Our band is special and they’ve traveled well in the past and I suspect they’ll do so in the future. Glad to be coming to the Big12 and will travel to a few road games per year and also, as a season tix holder, I’m very much looking forward to our new Big12 schedule. Let’s gooo Mountaineers.
