Bob Stoops will get pressured to resign or be fired long before Boone will ever let that happen to Gundy.
I was never happy about Gundy's hiring, but, the last few years have proven me wrong. OSU does need someone that bleeds orange, or WILL bleed orange for the school.
I think Les Miles could have been that guy if it weren't for Boone...but in today's coaching world, there's really not a chance for tenure.
Take Leach, and Mike Stoops for example

The Iowa State loss was very disappointing, but understandable. It was kind of a fluke. I really thought the field goal kicker made the field goal in regulation. I did. But we got a loss - just a football loss, then a coaching staff loss or two. Is there some kind of curse on OSU? Can't we do like the Boston Red Sox and Reverse the Curse? Can't we Cowboys stand up this one time and take this game away from OU and say, "you had it for so many years, now it's ours. We own it now!" Come on!

Despite the talent Gundy has brought in and the fact that OSU has more to play for and more to loose with a loss. Bob Stoops will win or loose this game by what he decides is more important his football ideology or winning this football game. If Stoops allows his talented offense line, the best fullback in the NCAA, and a tailback that can run the ball very effectively establish a ground game OU will win this game unless they turn the ball over. We also are going to have get into the end zone when we get in the red zone. If Stoops tries to throw the 70 to 80 percent of the game OU will be playing in the Muffin Bowl. This OU team should not have a loss despite of the injuries we have had. In both losses neither the coaching staff or the players where prepared to play and then in the second half they take things seriously and you can't do that at this level.
Stoops has completely hid from the media which in unacceptable for what he gets paid a year. Another issue that seems to be a problem much more at OU on a year to year basis is the amount of injuries stoop's teams have. is there something they are not doing or doing on a day to day basis during practice that is contributing to multiple key injuries on a year to year basis??? Defensively being on the field most of the game creates allot of injuries. we either score quick or it's 3 and out. What freshman walk on brought to the table was drives that took time off the clock and ball control. We still have the ability and talent to accomplish this but that is against Stoops's ideology. Our LBs and DEs are always injured year in and year and they generally start during the Texas game and continue to multiply as the season progresses.

You naled it Chris, best comment I have read all season. So what if OSU gets beat? Our battleship is headed in the right direction, thanks to Mr. Pickens. I am very optimistic about our future and I honestly would not trade places with any team or coach in the country going forward. Thank you Coach Gundy on a Great season!

It is time for Gundy to win. But what if he doesn't? Is he really on the hot seat? Gundy is 57-30 (.655) at OSU. Without his first bad season in 2005, when he was completely changing offenses, he stands 53-23 (.697). Heck, in the last 4 years he is 39-11 (.780). Those are great years at OSU...don't compare them to the sooners records compare them with OSU's past. Sure it's time to beat them, but there was a time when OSU could not stop Texas. Gundy is building a strong program in Stillwater. Their success today is more about Gundy than it is about Blackmon/Weeden. There is more talent on campus than ever before. Winning Bedlam would be the last monkey off his back.

I love how OU fans act like you have some ownership in the success of the Sooners. How exactly did you impact those 84 victories? And how many of you even attended the university? Quit acting like you did something!

I know none of you are former players or graduates... nobody with a college education couldn't be so stupid.
