I think they should have the NC game someplace other than a teams home area. They shouldn’t decide who will host the NC game until the teams are determined. Not fair to anyone who plays LSU this year. This is suppose to be a fair game & nobody can get that against LSU this year.

the BCS NC game is not going to go a single permanent spot. But if the Cotton could get into rotation, that would be a positive for the Big 12 schools. I’ll recognize a LSU national title when they win one outside of Louisiana.

Stupid is as stupid does, and this is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Placing the NC in one spot. You talk about LSU home field advantage and then say, “Hey lets put it in Arlington” Home field advantage for the Big 12. After all they are struggling so lets help them. NC game should not be set at any one bowl until the teams are decided and then the BCS bowl that is most neutral is where the NC game is to be played.

Big 12 should push for Cotton Bowl ala JerryWorld to host the
BCS title game. The title game would be easier to put on than the Super Bowl with all of the problems of NFL dictating seats etc. than the NC game with 90,000 to 100,000 fans attending.
Just have the seats already in place, and don’t try to set a record attendance.

Dallas in Jan not always a picnic, and as we saw with the Super Bowl, doesn’t have adequate equipment to deal with winter stroms quickly. Not really a rewarding destination.

Yes, you’re right.
That is a crazy idea.

The SEC teams are not going to leave the SEC for the Big 12!
They make too much money and the Big 12 is still unstable.
For God’s sake, please stop with the SEC defection scenarios!

I know it sounds crazy, but if we could lure a couple of teams like Kentucky (still great basketball in the big 12) and Florida State (new tv and recruiting market for all schools) – I told you this is a crazy idea – we could get back to 12 teams with a conference championship. Hey, WV left…TCU brings another strong program….if we can travel to Morgantown, and the Mointaineers will travel to Austin (further than Norman), then anything is possible. The Big East is probably done – at least as we have known it. Many of those schools may end up in the ACC. Why not try to steal FSU, and if Missouri will leave the Big 12 where they could at least compete for a title and go to a conference where they will be lucky to be bowl eligible every year, anything is possible. Kentucky could still schedule their rivals for out of conference games, so could FSU – Fla. and Miami, Kentucky – Louisville and Tennessee. With a 12 team conference, teams can schedule more out of conference games. KY could be competitive in FB in the Big 12, and FSU would make life very interesting for all teams. A NC at Jerry World could have some teams more willing to listen to Big 12 invites. Wonder what Mizzou and TAM
