My sympathy goes out to everyone connectd with OSU……
The Big 12 is an extended family and we all grieve with you. I hated to see you loose last night and was hoping it would be the Cowboys and LSU for the BCS championship with the Big 12 coming out on top. Brandon Weeden is a great quarterback with an exciting future in the pros if that is what he chooses to do. Here’s hoping you whip OU in 2 weeks and I’ll be cheering for you in a great BCS bowl. As we used to say in Raiderland……Guns Up!!!!!!

Jim Hues: Here’s some information you didn’t know about the pilots: Has been conducting “angel flights for cancer victims around the country, both him and his wife were pilots, both had set world records flying over the North Pole back in 1984 in that plane, established the Paula G. Bransetter Aviation Scholarship at OSU in 2001, Civic leader and strong OSU supporter to just give out a few. Sometimes things just go wrong no matter how old or young you are and personally, I think it was a mis-calculation of something that ran them out of fuel.

Words cannot describe how deeply saddened and grief stricken we are right now. I pray that God will bring comfort to all of the families of those lost in this unbelievable tragedy. Just as Eddie Sutton got us through the nightmare ten years ago, I pray that God will strengthen our leaders at OSU to help us get through the next few days….

Barry, I have to respond. A small single engine aircraft that was 47 years old with a 82 year old pilot. That was a disaster waiting to happen. Sad, very sad.

You would think the way Boone Pickens was spending money he would see that the staff and coaches would have a newer airplane for the school. OSU has an Aviation program so getting a younger pilot would not have been a problem.
