The obvious solution here is just to go ahead and invite them both and if Missouri does leave, invite BYU to get back to 12. The whiff of desperation you felt out of West Virginia and Kentucky is just to leap from a sinking sip into one that despite whatever chaos there may be in its decision making is still a far more stable one. Sure there may be differences of opinion within the Big 12 family, but at least there is enough TV money fro Fox. To keep a family going. The Big East may not be so lucky.

While Texas Tech’s injury were legitimate in their cause, it doesn’t change the fact that this was NOT the same OU team that had earned the #3 national ranking.

So while both teams were depleted, I will not confuse that unit OU put out there with the one that shutdown FSU or Texas, earlier this year. Different kids.

Being a Tech fan, I expected the usual “you don’t know what you’re talking about” (with an expletive mixed in there somewhere). These were calm, justified posts. My respect for OU and their fans went up again. Great game

Hey Kris, Porter was offered by OU and took it to the last week to decide between OU and TTU. It was very competitive for him right to the end.

If OU and Tech had all their injured players, Tech probably would have won big.

That said, the loss of Whaley did hurt OU.

You bring up good points. It’s also ironic that Tech picked on Gabe Lynn, who would instantly be Tech’s best CB if he switched teams. Their top 3 CBs consisted of two former walk-ons and Tre Porter, a native of Oklahoma whom OU was not interested in.
