Think about time zones. We can either go one time zone west or one to the east, but not both. As a Cyclone, we would rather travel south to Florida in November than northwest to Idaho. And that BLUE field is enough to make you barf!

My vote is to go east and include WVA (they cloned Iowa State's football stadium...used the same plans) and at least one Florida School...I would take both South Florida and Central Florida (nice and warm in the late fall. UCONN would be great for both FB and BB. If you want to add more basketball take your pick of Louisville, Memphis, etc. From a growth perspective, Houston would not be bad, but at this time their teams are.

Cincinnati fans would love to get an offer from the Big 12. Great school academically and much higher ranked by US News than UL and WVU. Positives for Cincinnati include recent enrollment at 43,000, new updated sports 120 million dollar sports complex, 200,000 graduates in Ohio area, Ohio (big ten market access), huge TV market, great basketball program with recent NCAA experience, huge research facility inline with Big 12 facility (ranked 34th nationally in research expenditures) and top 10 nationally in endowment and patent income). Cincinnati is a huge medical research facility, top rated programs in Music, Engineering, Architecture, Criminal Justice, Nursing and Medicine. Cincinnati would be an EXCELLENT CHOICE for the Big 12. WVU too hard to get to Morgantown. UL/UC logical choices for the Big 12.

What a JOKE people are even talking about all these schools. The Big XII needs to die so the bigger schools can go onto a real conference and the leftovers can form a new mid major.

FIRST. No reason to go to 16 teams. Money divided by 16 teams equals less money. Go back to 12 and keep the Big12 name.

SECOND. Mizzou is staying. WVU is SEC-bound.

THIRD. We are not adding the best or highest-rank team, we are adding TV markets and TV viewers.

That means SMART MONEY says it's Louisville, Cincy and BYU.

Living in the east, I really don't know why the discord over boise state, byu, and wvu. Personnally, don't care about boise or byu, but both programs are what I would call name brands in college football. Big 12 need to take both of those programs serious. On wvu, why not. They do give you a national brand in football and basketball. Personally, adding byu, boise, and wvu would stack the big 12. Wow, I can see it now, ok and wvu in morgantown at a night game, or boise and texas on the blue turf. Byu and osu. Those are games everyone would watch. Just a netural fans thought.
