Anywho, I have a question. How good, or possibly average, is FSU really? OU played a great football game, no argument, especially the whole defense, and Kenny Stills. However, OU’s run game looks more anemic than last year and let’s face it, neither of those Seminole QB’s were anything scary. The highly touted starter looked like he was throwing a rotten canteloupe and the backup threw one very lucky TD that should have been a pick, (what was Javon Harris looking at?), and the rest of the time looked like a dressed-out Waterboy with a Deer-in-the-Headlights look on his face. I will say the FSU ‘D’ may be as good or better than anyone the Sooners will face in Big 12 play, but that ‘Nole Offense was a case of criminal false advertising. The Sooners were primed to beat about anyone that took the field against them Saturday night. It reminded me of the Defenses Mike Stoops coached in Norman. they flew around and slobber-knocked the stuffings out of anyone who dared touch the pigskin, but ask yourself in hindsight . . . . did they really beat a top ten team? Maybe so, but if I were a Sooner fan, I would worry that the real result is an unjustified level of confidence and an inflated sense of accomplishment.

They forgot that it was necessary to actually play hard.

I don’t think they will make that mistake this year, but we’ll have to see.
