Mel Counts was a decent player who was a 7 footer who not only backed up Chamberlain at center he was also versatile enough to often play alongside Chamberlain at forward, not very common in those days.

Counts didn’t play badly down the stretch in the 1969 NBA game 7 final as he got a couple of key rebounds and he did hit the shot that brought the Lakers to within one point however, there is no way he should have been left in the game if Chamberlain was able to come back in.

there is nothing that will repair Westbrook’s injured feeling faster then a trip to the NBA championship. basketball as much as any other game is a team sport. thats why each basketball team has more then five players. the great players make the other team members better, also. stay the course Westbrook, there is plenty of room for the other players to contribute to winning. one day soon you will come to understand how impotent they are for all concerned. now about these pesky Mavericks…………………
