I think what is not being noticed is the sudden lateral movement in Thabo. Suddenly he is playing defense like he did last year which means the Thunder, if the coaches can come up with different different schemes can get creative. Seeing the lack of progress on the offensive end in drawing up plays, this remains slightly remote.

You got that part right. Ibaka’s best defense and shot blocking has alway been from the 4 position. All Thunder big men worked better in pairs and they were all hampered by the small line up Thunder preferred to play.
Incidentally, I think (or hope)that many Thunder fans are going to be surprised to see Krstic play considerably better when he gets more playing time with a true 4 in the game. Jeff’s game will probably blossom as well by being able to play more minutes at his natural minutes.
Still, if there are not any lasting health/injury concerns with Perkins, I think Thunder made a good trade and should be considered a strong contender for championship.

Interesting take, Berry. Really surprised at how low the Thunder sold Jeff Green – for a center with one bad leg, another injured leg, chronic shoulder problems, little or no offensive skills on the block.

Big price to pay for a defensive specialist who’s at best an average rebounder.

I’ll say this, though: The Thunder’s headed up the stats lists – in illegal screens and technical fouls.
