Don’t forget OU thrashing LSU in the 1950 Sugar Bowl, 35-0. A former LSU player was caught spying on the OU practices. Wilkinson was furious.

I was there with the Tigerband; we were tanked the nights before, but not during the game. Boomer sooner v. TigerRag? Fun, but no contest.

I have been to 11 out of the 12 stadiums in the SEC and several others in different conferences. There are bad apples everywhere; try going to a Georgia Game in Athens. You get the hate without any good cuisine offered to you; but some pretty bushes to look at.

New Orleans has hosted the most Superbowls of any City, weathered the Recession far better than most “big” American towns, and has more things to do than other cities combined. Great place to live and/or visit.

PM, seriously, go back and read my post again. Show me where I said that OU would beat LSU. Reading comprehension can be your friend, don’t be afraid to learn it.

I don’t need to check records. I’m sure that OU has a better regular season record, then again, you haven’t had to play in the SEC. You know, the conference that’s won the last 5 NCs and is 7 – 0 in NC games since the inception of the BCS? LSU has a much better bowl record under Miles than OU does under Stoops. Speaking of Les, we’ve seen what he can do against you guys when he has anything remotely resembling comparable talent, something that he certainly has at LSU.

There’s a long way to go before the season starts, much less so many things have to happen before any of this comes to pass. Let’s see what the coming season brings and we’ll go from there.

LasWages Tiger, OU has had a few up and down experiences on the national stage in the 2000′s but ALL teams have them from time to time. Even LSU. Check the record books. OU is ironing the hiccups out and LSU is just starting to have em again! You are right about one thing, OU will beat your butt in N.O. if we all can make it there.

My God, I’ve never seen a bigger crybaby fanbase over one game that happened what, eight years ago? Good God, just be glad that you were even there to begin with, because you didn’t deserve it after the K State beatdown you guys got. You didn’t deserve to be there the next year either as USC proved. Just be glad that the BCS finally found a team that you were able to beat in a big bowl game.

Speaking of USC, they got to play for a NC just 12 miles from their campus. (The Superdome is 85 miles from LSU) Didn’t seem to bother Texas too much, did it?

Sorry guy, but you’re college football’s answer to the Dallas Mavericks. You can look real good in the regular season but when it matters most, you find a wet to stain the bed.

All fan bases have those “SCUMBAG” fans. The really funny(sad) fact is those “SCUMBAG” fans never attended the school. Those few fans disgrace the institutions that they claim to love.

Just imagine having a national championship game in your own state. It’s such a huge advantage. Can you imagine if Oklahoma had one? There’s no way of course, but just imagine.

The Cotton bowl would be a nice addition to the BCS….

To all LSU fans on this post (John, Geauxdude and whoever): you are the ones that are delusional about how bad LSU fan behavior can be. I was at the Sugar Bowl in 2004 and can personally attest to witnessing LSU fans curse and act rudely to innocent senior citizen female Sooner fans who were minding their own business, presumably with their family. I’ve been to several college games all over the country and have never seen anything like those LSU fans. Even if OU makes it to the big game, I’ll never drop a dime on another Sugar Bowl or the city of New Orleans if LSU is playing in that game.

Piledriver doesn’t have a clue about the facts or situation in the game. OU was not stoned at the line of scrimmage for the entire game like his delusional mind remembers. It was a pretty balanced game. The next to last drive, OU was running the ball successfully (go back and watch the tape while you’re sober) and then they went 7-8 plays with passes that were unsuccessful. QB missed a wide open receiver in endzone. FACT….Jason White was injured (broken bone in hand that required surgery after the game). He injured it in the Big 12 championship game and tried to play thru it and hid the true extent of the injury. But he was not the same as he was during the regular season (timing, touch, etc) that won him the Heisman.

No excuses. Fact, LSU has had the advantage playing the NC game in its homestate with the number of fans. And fact…..they are very classless!
