The refs have been pretty bad in a lot of bowls this year, but especially in Big 12 games (particularly Missouri and K-state). Although(with the exeception of OSU and teams that haven't played such as OU, Tech, and A&M) the Big 12 hasn't been very good in bowls this year, the refs have not helped. I'm not sure what is going on, but it seems to me like they still want the Big 12 to not succeed and split up more than it already has. Maybe I'm going on a limb here, but it sure seems like the Big 12 hasn't been treated fairly in the bowl games so far. I think OSU even got a few calls that didn't seem fair. Hopefully, I'm wrong and that OU and the other teams will get treated fairly in their bowl games.

Why all the concern? Big 12 has bombed in the bowls almost every year. This is nothing new. Berry is making it a bigger thing than it is. Probably because he is angling toward making a point that the Big 12 is irrelevant unless it adds more teams, his mantra for the year.

Going into bowl season, Big 12 teams figured to be favored in at least 4 games (OU vs. UConn, OSU vs. Arizona, Missouri vs. Iowa, Nebraska vs. Washington, and a solid underdog in only one (A&M vs. LSU). The other three (KSU vs. Syracuse, Baylor vs. Illinois, Texas Tech vs. Northwestern) figured to be about even.

So far, Big 12 teams have lost two games in which they were clearly favored and two games that seemed about even. It will take a major upset by Texas A&M, plus OU and Texas Tech winning, for the Big 12 to break even. Not very likely.

Yes--a sorry bowl season for the Big 12 conference in its last hurrah as a 12-team league.

The other Big 12 outcomes have ZERO indication on Oklahoma's bowl result. Check the history. No correlation what so ever.

If anything, OU has had more bowl success in years the rest of conference did poorly.

So you can runantellthat!
