Mizzou has now been followed by Baylor getting blown out, OSU winning going away against a sorry Arizona team, K-State losing, getting hosed by the zebras in the process, and Nebraska failing to show up against Washington. The Big 12 is now 1-4 in bowl play.

Yes, it is the best measure of conference strength we have. And the Big 12 is looking weak, weak, weak.

Mizzou has a history of blowing bowl games (and NCAA Tournaments - Hi, Tyus Edney). See its loss to Navy last year for an example. If postseason success is oil, Mizzou is water.

These bowl games have no relation to conference strength. Period. Mizzou lost to Iowa by three points. That game had its own unique dynamics. It was an event all to itself.

Attempting to make these meaningless exhibition games a measure of conference strength, is only done by ESPN and other media , who are only trying to hype them into something they are not.

I'm not buying, I never have bought. And I won't watch the majority of these exhibitions.
