Berry, I guess blogs aren’t proof read, and I find mistakes all the time reading on-line blogs, but I expect a professional writer to proof his work. “Quality” instead of “qualify” (twice) is hard to understand.

College football players love playing football. It’s too much of a stretch to suggest they are overworked and exploited. Every player on the Sooner roster knows a handful of kids that would have given anything to play college ball. Anywhere. Not to mention a place like OU.

No doubt that the bowl system is a reward to players–and in many instances is a well-deserved reward. However, that reward does not justify the bowls’ existence. Players are not shareholders in the process–but universities, administrators, donors and fans are because they all contribute the capital towards the process. Players are simply stakeholders who have the option to play football in return for an education or not.
