It’s been that way since Day One.
At least the colossally overrated Bryant Gumbel isn’t calling them anymore. Bob Papa looks like a broadcasting genius following him.

Berry- makes me feel better about not having NFL Network as part of our Time Warner cable package here in Overland Park. I’m too cheap to pay significant extra for a few NFL games (that don’t involve the CHIEFS!).

You are exactly right, Berry. It is like you are not watching an NFL game, and it is the league’s network.
Bob Papa is a radio guy, and doesn’t understand that less is more in calling televised games. He is great on NYG telecasts, but hasn’t made the transition to TV.
