Look at Stoop’s record. Don’t second guess the man. He has been very good at his trade for quite some time. You can’t win them all. The previous two times ou has played A&M, the put up 129 points.

Be glad that you have such a fine coach, and don’t second guess him.

You know OU has nothing to hang their heads about. They lost to a very good Mike Sherman coached team. OSU barely escaped with a win at home and A & M has been in all it’s games. A & M is young, they started slowly, but they’re not a bad football team. I think OU miscalculated just how good A & M’s defense is. I think Stoops is to blame for that. He shows little imagination in the red zone. Seems to prefer to run straight at you rather than around you. That’s a big mistake with the speed that OU has in the backfield. Their offensive line is still at best marginal. They just can’t line up and run over people like they used to be able to.

First, I am an Aggie. I would just like to thank Barry Tramel for writing an acurate, unbiased article. I have the utmost respect for OU – great fans, great football tradition, a mutual disgust for everything that is Longhorn….that said, A&M was the better team THAT NIGHT. I am by no means hopping on the “Return of the Wrecking Crew” bandwagon, but the D was on its game that night. Great game, great players on both side, great reason to drink beer! I wish OU the best in the rest of its season. Gig ‘em.

Frankly, Joe Castiglione, and I am a BIG OU FOOTBALL FAN, but from what Stoops is relaying, it appears that HE IS PUTTING HIS LOYALTY TO HIS COACHING BUDDIES OVER THE SUCCESS OF WHAT IS BEST FOR OU FOOTBALL. How can you deny that? What is the purpose of WATCHING GAME TAPE after the game IF NOT TO MAKE CORRECTIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS – and to in fact, say: “We should have done this instead of that ….etc, etc.” This is not right.
Bobby Stoops needs a reprimand from Castiglione.

What is the purpose of watching Game tape IF NOT TO MAKE CORRECTIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS? this is not playing ‘monday morning quarterback’ or being a ‘second-guesser’ —- this is about being a great head coach who is tenaciously intent on IMPROVING.

I am tired of seeing the same mistakes year after year after year.

Stoops, nobody is asking you to be a 2nd guesser or a monday morning quarterback.

WE’RE ASKING YOU TO BE A HEAD COACH. DO what is necessary to WIN. BLIND LOYALTY to coaches is ignorant and dangerous when they are under-performing.

Not happy with Stoops’ arrogance.

Bob’s loyalty is fine! When you move the ball well maybe not great but well, it is the play calling inside the 5 and goal! Coaches also have to instinctively know when their players are frustrated to see the defense recognize what is going to happen on goal…over and over! Come on Bob, you and Wilson know that the right play is whatever it takes to get the TD! Play to your talent and strengths! The line was not getting it done on the run! It hasn’t all season, with the exception of a couple of games! This one is on the Coaches and Players!
