Yeah you know that’s tough on a kid who knew better but was just off on a joy ride. Sometimes as adults I think we forget that kids are kids. Our expectations go way beyond their capacity to understand. I got stopped once as a passenger in a vehicle and thrown into jail, an to this day I’m still embarrassed about it. I’m not saying that I did anything wrong or that I didn’t deserve the consequences of having a few beers after a big win, but some of these “local yokels” are just way “too” over zealous. This SOB could have just pulled them over and given them a ticket. He could have cautioned them about driving too fast. No, he instead chose to take them in. The irony here is you can see Justin’s mug shot and clearly tell he wasn’t drunk. You know the judgemental of this world are just pathetic!

This would have been a good article if you would have left out your non ability to give people a second chance and just report what they did in the game. I see no reason for including biographies about mistakes young men have had in their life. I am sorry that you feel those comments were necessary since you have made your paycheck all week by writing about Blackmon’s mistake.I hope that after a while you will feel no need to pad your articles. I also hope you wouldn’t mention mistakes by OU players also, even though I don’t remember you doing that too often.

Well it was a terrific victory. Some young guys really came of age in this game, and Joseph Randle was his usual fantastic self. I’d just like to caution that this won’t be the same Baylor coming to town next week. A healthy Robert Griffin will be a load for OSU’s defense, which has a history of not being proficient at containing mobile QB’s. I was handing out Trick or Treat candy when I tuned and thought the score read 79-10 Texas in the third quarter. Well they had some funky looking ones, and I got closer to discover it was only 19-10 in the third. Texas had just intercepted and was driving, that was enough for me! Imagine my surprise when I found out that Baylor had come back to win? Don’t for one second take this one for granted. It will be a tough ball game!

CBS has OSU with 10 penalties also. On the other hand, the TV game announcers had them with more than that. I can remember hearing one of them announce OSU’s 12th penalty early in the 3rd quarter.

Not sure where you got your info Bob, but according to the ESPN box score OSU had 10 penalties (2 in the first half and 8 in the second) and K-state had 7.

Nebraska is doing it today against Missouri. I’ve seen several instances of helmet to helmet hits (with the typical Nebraska gloating) and flagrant face mask grabs. Pelini must be coaching cheap shots.

Richetti Jones’s face mask penalty was the worse our team committed today.

The thing about the Nebraska player was he attacked helmet to helmet the stood over OSU’s player and taunted him, then afterward made derogatory remarks. How that wasn’t a flag is beyond me!

Great effort for Cowboys considering circumstances this week,Gundy and staff did a superb job of preparing team for this game.
Penalities need to be a addressed to improve further,coaches and players know that,this late in year this should not be happening.

I agree about Brown. It looked worse than it was and I’m not sure it was even a penalty. I know on the replay that Orie Lemon didn’t shuck a forearm at their QB’s head either. The QB did some very good “acting” on that play. Brown only hit him with his shoulder pad and not his helmet. I’d be real dissapointed if he were suspended for that hit. Richetti Jone’s face mask was worse than that!

Not so sure about the call against Brown. It really looks like he put a shoulder into the receiver’s chest. He didn’t leave his feet. And I really don’t think the helmet’s ever met. I’ve watched it in slow-mo several times and just don’t see it. If this one gets penalized by the B12, then we are in for several more this year. Maybe the old leather helmets are the answer.
