Drew Allen’s got an arm on him. He will have to have some opportunities to get in there and sharpen his skills. God forbid if Landry goes down, they better prepare Drew all they possibly can!

Yea lets put a kid whose played 5 days at middle linebacker on the field against one of the better option teams of the past 15 years. Jordan, it’s the balls to the wall mentality that you advocate that the triple option rips apart.

Jordan, you makes me laugh. The fullback “dive” isn’t really the play everyone makes it out to be. The offense is called an option for a reason. If you sell out on the fullback, the QB simply pulls the ball and keeps it. Then he watches the end. If the end commits then he pitches. If he doesn’t the QB keeps it. The option offense isn’t about what play they call. It’s more about how the offense reacts to what the defense does. If you point Lewis at the fullback then we would be wondering why the QB killed us on the edge. If you point him at the QB then we wonder why the pitch killed us all day. Option football is difficult to defend for a reason. You can’t just tell someone to kill the fullback on every play. If they did that, we would’ve been beat by 2 or 3 touchdowns.

The point we fans are trying to make Berry is that he can do more than simply rush the QB as you say. You don’t think they could have put him out there, pointed at the Air Force FB who killed OU all day, and told him “Hit that kid every play, with or without the ball”?
