He won the NL Final Vote ballot after Cincinnati (and probably many other cities) rallied for him and got him voted onto the NL squad. I know it’s not the traditional way that players normally make the team but he WAS on that team this year and you should have mentioned that in your article. Go Reds and Go Joey!
