Dustin new he broke the rule the second he grounded his club. Did you see him back off? Tournament golf is different than Saturday morning with your buddies golf. Just like a two a day scrimmage is different than an actual game. (did you see OSU spring game format?)

People that argue Dustin got robbed have simply never played the game on a serious competitive level.

As a player of golf (a duffer, to be more exact) I do know that such places are found on various courses around the world. They are always posted. And, in most cases, players are reminded of the unusual rules prior to the beginning of a tournament. Johnson knew the rules, as do all pros. Whether we agree that the place should be considered a trap is beside the point. The fact is that it is considered a trap by the club and the PGA, it was posted that it was considered a trap and that’s the name of that tune. When we duffers tour a course we most generally play by our own rules. But when we play in a tournament we must abide by the rules of the tournament sponsors. Johnson blew it and he paid for his mistake. I’m sure he won’t make that mistake again.
