Sam Bradford: Soon throwing to Terrell Owens?

Welcome to the NFL, Sam Bradford. The St. Louis Rams are considering signing Terrell Owens, according to ESPN.

Talk about a difficult burden for a rookie quarterback. Dealing with T.O. and his demands for the ball and the spotlight, all of which will be compounded by losing. What a ridiculous consideration by St. Louis.

The Rams are totally rebuilding. They sooner or later, probably sooner, will hand the ball to Bradford and let him take his lumps. Lumps will come from a lack of success and getting accustomed to the faster, tougher pro version of the game and from getting beat 27-10 every Sunday.

Lumps shouldn’t come from a 36-year-old receiver who once was a superstar but now mostly is a superpain. It would be hard to come up with a more idiotic roster move for a team breaking in a rookie franchise quarterback.

I like Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo. I’ve liked him ever since I was around him at the Giants-Patriots Super Bowl. But if Spagnuolo is signing off on bringing in Terrell Owens, the Rams are in much more trouble than I thought.

If any rookie QB could handle the challenge- it would be Sam the Man. In fact, I will go out on what I consider a very secure limb and project that if the TO circus does come to St Louie- Sam will carefully guard his words and will not be caught with the proverbial foot in mouth.

This is a awesome addition for the Bengals. That receiving core just became great.
