Colorado bolted ahead because of the stunts the texass politicians were pulling. They were trying to strongarm the PAC10, head quartered in a state way bigger than texass, to cut Colorado and take BAYLOR instead? Colorado decided their best move was to not wait around and let texass have a chance to ‘talk’ Larry Scott out of inviting them. I love it. Good for them.

Say whaaat? Colorado and Nebraska were the only one with real guts in this deal. They had an opening and left the corrupt Texas schools (well, not A&M) in their wake. UT orchestrated the rest, Dodds and Plonsky leaking everything to rivals. Played Chip Brown like a fiddle, who in turn played everyone else. And in the end, UT thinks they look good, but they don’t. As that SEC writer Fienbaum said, who died and left Texas as the boss of college football?.

I agree with everything you point out except that Pac 16 train hasn’t permanently
left. We can’t really replace Nebraska or Colorado and eventually soon the conference is going to want a 15 million dollar title game. Arkansas is going nowhere! Missouri will end up in the Big Ten and A&M is already extremely unhappy about not going to the SEC. There a dig with a bone. The conference is built on quicksand and that Pac 16 train will come through southwest again offering Texas a better deal and they’ll take it. You add in the sooners, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech you have one helluva conference and Bob gets his recruiting areas. David don’t bet on the big 12 to last long. Its held together with band-aids.

dkwilds, the train has left the station. 10 teams have committed to the conference. I agree with you to the point that we should have gone ahead and left for the Pac 10 but that decision point came and went.

Who cares when they leave? Colorado is gone, Missouri is out the door, Texas A&M with there love for the Longhorns are there looking for a good time to move. Its time to go to the Pac Ten with or without Texas who everybody seems to treat like they have cancer. As I’ve heard you lead, follow or get out of the way! Seems likes its to time to look after Oklahoma and move to the Pac !6. Whoever
gets Texas gets cancer and tumors. Texas will follow us to the Pac Ten they really no choice but the old southwest conference. How’d that work out for them? Its time to realize “WE ARE OKLAHOMA!” Texas can play Rice and Baylor forever. Thats the teams that they schedule. CUPCAKES!!!
