Stoops is living in a fantasy world. Maybe? a boon for
recruiting, but a dogle for the traveling fans. Bebe and DOK
throw these numbers, up to $20 mill. a year, like it's set

Right now all these teams, including OU's daddy, UT and A&M,

it is. Just words! I have some Ocean front property in Edmond
I'd like to sell those two panty waisted liberals leading OU.
Ain't got is a term I use to refer to what that ball-bagging

I guess i am wondering why Kansas City is such a winner and OKC isn't recognized as a winner as well? Do we not get the Big XII basketball occassionally? Don't we currently hold the baseball (i know next year is the last on the contract but we should continue to be the leader for this championship). If we went to either coast, how many championships, of any sports, would OKC of held, 0! Don't forget the middle income down fan who are the winners. We don't get paid to go to sporting events like those writing these columns, we have to PAY to go. Regional games are a lot more economical than coastal games. Why do we always look at someone else's situation being better than ours? who can we pick up now to benefit the Big XII? We have been saying we have the best division in football (the South), the best conference in basketball, baseball is strong as are the other sports. let's take pride in what we had and have.

I don't see how the conference comes up with so much more revenue for all these schools. This may be a "pie in the sky" promise that may not materialize for anyone except Texas, who will have their own TV contract.

Kevin Kietzman on Kansas City 810 thought that Nebraska may have come out money ahead by staying. But he is wrong. The Big Ten with a much larger population base will be a boon to Nebraska's coffers.

Kietzman as a K-State grad does not like Nebraska, so he may have an axe to grind.

Nebraka's future in the Big 10 is very secure, the same cannot be said for the remaining teams in the Big 12. Like the article said, Mizzou may still end up in the Big 10. And what if the SEC makes Oklahoma and Oklahoma State an offer they can't refuse?

Boren and Joe C. need to be sure to wipe all the Bevo juice off their face after letting Texas call the shots like this. I just can't see how the whole world seems to think UT is the god of college football.
Keeping the conference together was all about Texas wanting their own TV contract and control. Texas would lose control if they joined the PAC-10. I think OU and Texas will do ok financially, but the other schools would have benefitted from joining the PAC-10.

Not real sure how the SEC is a loser in this one...

The Super Conference failed and the SEC remains the clear cut king of CFB.

Not have a "foothold" in Texas for recruiting isn't exactly holding the league back from recruiting Texas (Matthew Stafford etc) or from winning national titles.

I'm disappointed. As a PAC10 guy, I was looking forward to a super-conference. I would have called it "The Glamor and Grit Conference".

If Utah accepts a PAC10 bid, everybody believes Larry Scott is done. I don't think so. I believe he's being cagey and waiting for the new Big Texas-OU conference deal. I still believe he goes to 14 at least. He is really pushing for a big TV contract. After all the hoops he's been jumping through, he's not going to stop until he hits 14. I sense Larry's future schedule takes him to Albuquerque and Houston. Unfortunately for the A&M, Texas Tech and OSU of the worlds, that means there will only be two spots open and Larry is probably saving those spots for big fish (OU and Texas).

@sean. "The conference was ALWAYS Texas and Oklahoma in football." I' pretty sure OU & UT sucked at football when the Big XII was formed while Nebraska was spanking you and winning national titles.
OU would be insane to stay in this new UT+9 conference. If they get their TV "Superstation", UT will DESTROY the recruiting programs of every other team in the conference, including (and especially) OUs.

This is clearly their goal.

Appeasement might make you feel good in the short term, but it won't be long before it bites you in the butt.

This is not good news for the Big 12 I mean 10 or 9. UT is obviously only interested in self.....

This will not be good for OSU. I know OU "thinks" they will get their own network. Good Luck with that one. It's a pipe dream that won't result in long term success.

If they can't get more quality teams in, they need to disolve it.
