If I recall correctly, didn’t the Cowboys call a time out trailing 27-3 to stop the clock?

Balderdash. The Vikings played in a superlative manner against a perennial powerhouse team. Before they Cowboys cry wolf,they should look at their own history. (Dec. 28, 1996 – NFC Wild Card – Dallas 40, Minnesota 15; Jan. 8, 1995 – NFC Divisional – Dallas 35, Green Bay 9; Jan. 31, 1993 – Super Bowl XXVII – Dallas 52, Buffalo 17;) In the regular season they are even more prone to run up the score…sour grapes Dallas.

Let’s face the facts. The Cowboys played one of the worst games they played all season. If they hadn’t had so many turnovers, the offense had scored some points and the defense could stop a few plays, this would be a moot point. Big deal, 27-3 or 34-3. Either way = ROUT. The Cowboys sucked in this game and that’s the fact. Tacking on another score late, might just cause the Saints to squirm a little more this week. In any case, every team should try to score on every possession regardless of game situation. If they don’t try, they shouldn’t be playing in the playoffs. Talk to your defense, Brookings. That’s who let you down, not the Vikes.

If Vikes had been ahead by 50, I’d disapprove of the decision, ala Patriots last year. But this was not that. It surely made an exciting finale to the game.

I like the fact that the Vikings ran it up , because now the Cowboys will either grow a set of balls or they will get rid of the guys on this team who show no leadership .

I have been a die hard Cowboys fan for 45 yrs. I fully agree, if Keith Brooking did not like the points being run up then he needed to be yelling at the rest of the defense to man up and stop the Viking offense. Your not playing pee wee football Brooking where everyone gets to play just for being on the team or no matter what the score is. Brooking should have been yelling at the O-line as well as the D-backs.

You never know when a team can score 32 points after the two minute warning. Of course semi-retired Brett and the Vikes had to score. They should have gone for a two point conversion. The Cowboys had them right where they wanted them by being down by 24.

“taking a knee before time can run out is a sign of pity” Really??? That’s an odd position, since it happens dozens a time every weekend. I doubt anyone would have suggested the Vikes were rubbing it in by taking a knee.

More revealing was Favre’s response to his fourth TD, jumping around like he had just won the Super Bowl with that pass. It poignantly revealed Favre to be all about Favre, not the team or even the game itself. Favre is the most narcissistic, self-centered athlete (and THAT covers an incredible breadth of personalities) I’ve ever watched.

How else does one explain him holding his breath and stomping his feet like a ten-year old when pulled from a meaningless game vs Carolina late in the year? How else does one explain his retirement game every year but that he does not want to go through trainging camp like all the rest of his “team” mates?

Favre is all, and only, about Favre. He is repulsive.

Cowboys got their butts kicked….4 touchdowns thrown by a 40 year old qb is embarrassing to say the least…Two great games before MN must have too much of a drain…the boys looked listless and confused all afternoon.
