Can’t beat them, so hire em….The Houston offense scored at will against the Cowbows these last 2 years, so I guess Gundy decided to take a play (or playbook) out of Houston’s offense, huh.

Great column on hirng of new OC for Pokes,right on target.
Do believe this shuts up criticism of Gundy’s play calling and puts it squarely on shoulders of new OC.
New OC will not have luxory of a record setting QB to work with but does have a All-American in Hunter at HB in his attack.A Leach disciple can not be a bad thing for OSU,after all TT beat shotgun shells while playing w BB’s for years.OSU defense is in good hands w Young and now this hire w Halverson shores up offense and tricks it up.
When OSU lost Dez Bryant last season they lost there down the field threat and no real speed after that,that became apparent in OU game and Ole Miss game.Think Halverson’s hire shores all of this up now,we shall see but it is definitely a upgrade on staff on offense.

Yes this is exactly what it is,this deflects critics from Gundy’s play calling and puts it squarely on new OC’s head.
Good move for OSU and brings another dimension to Cowboys.
