McKenzie brought in a competent staff. There’s a difference between then
and now and there shouldn’t be. OU could have a staff that could compete
for a title and outright Big-12 South Title. Lots of god coaches out there would like to come to Oklahoma.

Berry, if you get a chance two stories which might be interesting would be something on the staff Jim MacKenzie put together in 1966. Another story would how Billy actually ended up being offered the TCU job when it seemed as if it were Mike Mims who was thought to be in the running for the Horned Frog post. That would be pure vintage Tubbs if you could ever get all that on the record from the principals involved.

Fess up! You know your sports inside out. I think of you as “Ole Man Winter”. You’re as reliable as a Timex. Let us know what you really know. The dirt! Kiffin is a major rule breaker. You know more than we do. All we have to do though, is to type in Tennessee/football recruiting infractions, or something of the sort. It doesn’t take much with a good browser.
I know you are an honorable man. But you still have to sound the horn as a journalist about this guy’s history. He’s a thug! Great news for OU and OSU. We just lost one scoundrel to the NFL, and the second one is in the process of bringing down 2 college football programs simultaneously.
I’d almost give a Ben Franklin to have an off the record conversation with you. I know the Oklahoman is PG but let the public get a glimpse of this Kiffin “scoundrel”. It’s just good journalism.
