Oklahoma propaganda is always so entertaining. Its amusing that their little third world country is so easily mind-manipulated. Things that Tramel's buddy didnt like: rain, port-a-potties, security guards, Colorado coach, fender benders and EVERYTHING about UT. The line was a suckers bet (Vegas is always in bed with Texas), the refs made ALL bad calls against OU(they are always in bed with Texas), Texas fans were booing at the game (that doesnt happen at any other campus in America), Colt isnt that good (how do you respond to that?) Side note: A co-worker brought me the local paper from the day after he attended the OU/Baylor game this year. Not only was there not a write-up of the Texas game in the local rag, there wasnt a box score. In the top 20 roundup, they skipped the Texas score. Amazing strategy by the unbiased media: dont tell the locals about the team down south or even recognize that they are a top 3 program. They'll never know.

Oh, yeah, that was insightful. Colorado -- great! Penn State -- Wonderful! Everyplace else -- wonderful! Except Texas, those obnoxious cheaters.

That 60-year-old in his whiteout shirt still has a lot of traveling to do before he grows up.

I very much enjoyed Carl's college football odyssey. I have always enjoyed college football's traditional powers and the aura they bring to the game. It would be great to make a tour of them someday but for now Carl's blog will suffice. Thanks for printing it. Also it is a shame that so many fans, such as most I read on this blog cannot appreciate and enjoy others opinions and insight without taking it personally. Sad.

Who said Bob cannot recruit; it's the underlings that are doing most of the recruiting. I would not call Dejuan Miller a bad recruit. We have a lot of speed and a lot of NFL-caliber talent. I would say that Bob has a problem with loyalty and letting seniors always run the show. I think there's a balance to strike between young talent and old talent mix on the field for the exception on the O-line. For the skilled positions, the best man should win out.

Your Big XII bowl projections do not take into account that the championship game loser can not fall below the Alamo Bowl selection per league rules. So a team from the north needs to be in the Cotton, Holiday, or Alamo bowls.

Even though I am from Texas and am a UT fan, I really enjoyed this. I enjoyed the musings of someone who has lived a lot of life and still so clearly loves the game, especially personal thoughts on the stadiums and traditions. So, even if we differ on opinion I like the fact that you are invested in the game and are clearly enjoying yourself. You strike me as someone who it would be enjoyable to share a beer and a game with (as long as its not the red river shootout). Best wishes, and not all UT fans are obnoxious

Tram...do you honestly think that OSU can beat OU in Norman? You putting OSU in the Cotton is pretty much saying that. I think that you're crazy if you really think that OSU can beat OU in Norman the way each team is playing.
