If OU wins this game it will be on Bradford's shoulders. The Sooners can win but Slinging Sam is going to have to have a real Heisman moment playing his best game of his career and when you are Sam Bradford that is plenty tough. So I would have to say about the wildcat; don't you dare do it Sooners. Don't even try it once for some nice trick play. OU can win if we see a lot of Bradford to Murray plays whether they be hand offs or passes.

Of course I could be very wrong I'm a young Sooner fan and I didn't get to those epic OU-Texas games in the 70s and 80s so watch me be surprised come gameday if the Sooners pull off a few tricks...successfully that is.

I think you made the argument for *not* running it -- you have two Heisman candidates out there. I suppose you could impose the 4-back, 2-TE version on blatantly obvious running downs, though.

Also, I think it takes more than just a typical RB to be the "wingback". Texas sure doesn't have that guy, and I'm not sure OU does. Murray seems to fit that mold.

OSU actually seems to be the team that would be most likely to do it. Robinson is good, but he's not Bradford in the passing game, but he's also very capable of splitting out on a Wildcat variant and being a serviceable WR, something Bradford probably can't do. I think Toston would be a decent wingback type, although I have no idea about his arm.

(And wasn't Rex Ryan at OSU, not OU?)

I'm all for DeMarco running the wildcat but it seems like the last time anything creative worked for us it was Chester's touchdown catch against Missouri. Since then we execute trick plays about as well as we run up the middle against Idaho St. on the one.

Read Berry's stuff and listen to him on the radio. Good guy. ... Just imagine DeMarco running out of the Wildcat! Would be nice to see some creativity out of Wilson.

Texas has already ran the wildcat in previous games so they are more likely to run it than OU. With OU's offensive lines inability to block or get a push, the wildcat will get stuffed in the backfield like most of OU's runs against a good defensive front.
