Loved the column – we saw you guys at the game Tuesday night and started to come over and get you to do a column on all the stories of the 300-400 OU fans who were in attendance at Iowa City – like the lady behind us who had driven all day to get there then was going to drive all night to get home (she was a truck driver) – or the guy who lives near Iowa City but brings his race horses up to Remington Park to compete so wanted to cheer for the Sooners – or our daughter’s family who live in Davenport but are crimson-bleeding OU fans and their kids got to see their first Oklahoma game of any kind – to say Sooner fans “travel well” is no stretch! And to see the fan support, the facilities and the local interest . . . we are some fortunate sports fans in Oklahoma!

Good stuff, Berry! I enjoy driving because I hate flying but it is interesting to see different places like the ones you mentioned. Glad you made it safely and don’t forget the Rendevous or the Civil Rights Museum while you are there! Look forward to your insight from Memphis.

Great article. You should drive to every venue you cover, keep your thoughts in a diary, then combine it into a book. I’d buy it…I love stuff like this.
