Vacation time
I’m on vacation this week and won’t be blogging regularly. But I will check in from time to time and will pipe up if anything major happens. I’m going to spend some time with my granddaughter, take a little trip and get some stuff read that has me way behind. Talk to you soon.

What, you get paid to write about sports, attend any event you choose for free (and some you’d rather not), get all the free food you want at the cholesterol grill AND you get a vacation? Enjoy! The sporting world of police blotters and legal challenges awaits your return. Best.
I’m from Seattle, I posted a comment last week and forgot to add an important note. I have been very impressed by the fans and legislature of Oklahoma who have done everything legitimately possible to support the effort to move the Sonics to Oklahoma.
My gripe is against the NBA and the Bennett ownership group, who have cheated and lied their way through the whole process. Now we’re tied up in what seems to be endless litigation. The biggest losers will be the fans, who either have a promise for a new team or who may have lost their team of 40+ years. How do you explain the situation to a young fan without being cynical about the whole process?
The NBA should do the right thing, admit they were complicit in the whole deal, support the voiding of the Sonic sale to keep the team in Seattle and immediately offer a new or relocated franchise to Oklahoma. Problem solved and we all get back to playing basketball.
Best Regards,
John

Tramel–dress shirt (blue), tie, holding a football. Use some visine and maybe do something about all thay gray. You are the class of our sportswriters–sorry to say. Take a new picture and show the granddaughter grandpa still cares how he looks. You can’t let Carlson outguess you on the football picks this year, you might end up selling hot dogs at Lloyd Noble if you don’t clean up your act. Do you think the Tiger are in the class of OU and Texas? I think they are a long way off.
