Hi Berry!

What has happened in Seattle is unethical and borderline criminal. Your man Bennett and the desperate David Stern have conspired to murder this franchise. But, as was said during the championship run of 1979, "It aint over until the fat lady sings." I understand that you are drinking the OKC Kool-Aid, but don't believe everything you hear by the mostly uninformed media.

Why do I call Stern desperate? His league is taking on water. The ref scandal damaged the leagues' credibility more than they care to admit. Many teams are losing money. Why leave a great market for a much smaller one in OKC? Simple. The NBA can't hold a candle to MLB or the NFL which are both thriving in Seattle. Before this is all said and done, more facts will come out showing the parties involved for the lying, unethical people that they are. They are embarrassing your fine city of OKC. What a shame. HAVE MORE PRIDE IN YOUR COMMUNITY! Do you really want a franchise hijacked from a city that has loyally supported it for over 40 years? Isn't OKC better than that?

If the worst happens and the Sonics do leave, the people of Seattle will not be used as a patsy to leverage another city's team effort to get a new stadium. We do not want another city's team.

I know your city is thirsty for pro sports, but you don't need to degrade your city by getting into bed with sleazebags with no respect for the history of the game. Think about it. If it can happen to Seattle, what makes you think it will not happen to OKC in the not so distant future?

Nice picture Tramel--looks like you have been closing down the Red Dog saloon again. Don't worry as long as Jenni doesn't get fired you will never be the worst. Why doesn't Hensley have a blog he sucks too?

What a complement to Oklahoma City from the people of Seattle. To think, we have investors in our city willing to put up 350 million dollars for a franchise, and love our city so much that they were chomping at the bit to do something that would cut the value of their investment by hmmm, maybe 100 million the instant it was moved? Taking their new franchise from a huge market with so much income that they invented the $4 cup of coffee, to a TV market so small that it ranks what, 45th in the country? Apparently the good folks of Seattle are convinced that Oklahoma City was worth Clay Bennet et al. taking a financial bath for; for that complement, I thank them.

What we'll have in OKC the rest of the league can only envy: solid, local, upstanding, civic-oriented ownership. Clay Bennet is one of the most respected men in the state, and he married into a family who's great success is tied completely to its Oklahoma City roots. The Gaylords have done far more for this city than countless robber baron, carpet-bagging owners have done in any sporting league city at any time. We are incredibly fortunate to have them. It's a shame for Seattle that their hard-headedness cost them the chance to have such people grace their city. In the meantime, cheers to the NBA, Berry!

It's a shame that the people of Seattle didn't use the passion they show in those e-mails to try and save their Sonics. I see a lot of hate in these messages, I hope they can remember what NBA games were like as Stern has said they will never see them again as long as he is commish. Sorry Seattle....too little too late!
