Getting out of hand
This is getting out of hand. Tech leads 20-7, and the early defensive success has withered, and OU’s offense has done nothing. With 12:18 left in the second quarter, Tech has outgained OU 201-38 in total yards. Joey Halzle has looked shaky in his two series; his stumble on a 3rd-and-1 play, trying to hand off the ball, was a bad sign. Can it be long before we see Kid Nichol?

I just don’t understand how Venables creates his strategy and D game-plan. In my view, he has not been able to thwart the spread-style O that has become the flavor of the day. Our opponents exploit our zone and we tend to get burned deep in man coverage. We lack a stealth blitz package and don’t get the middle field space coverage. We clearly have the talent but I believe the time has come for a coaching change on the D side of the ball. The spread game has evolved and we are not keeping pace with D strategies to attack and defeat it. Yes, we beat Mizzou but the 400 yrds plus given up the other nite was a new one on me and I’ve been following the Sooners since 1974! D-fense and the kicking game is the key to National Championships. It’s time for a course correction on the D-side of the ball. Boomer Sooner!

Berry, Berry, Berry:
Didn’t I tell you this was going to happen. I thought the Sooners were supposed to get corn-holed by the Jayhawks not the Red -Raiders! I got razzed all night long here in Albuquerque for the Sooners. I still support the Sooners all the way, but they need to get their heads out of their butts first! Not once did they touch the quarterback. Thats sorry playing. I can even get to the quarterback if Stoops would put me in. I knew every play that the Sooners were going to execute too. I don’t want to talk about the defense. There is no defense at all. The Sooners don’t even have one good, reliable gimmick play. Don’t get me started on the stupid penalties. I am just down-right sick to my stomach, but I still love the Sooners no matter what! I still love them
