Dez coming through
Dez Bryant just caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Zac Robinson, and finally we’re seeing what all the fuss was about. Bryant has been largely a bust so far; a freshman phenom who drops passes and can’t learn the playbook, even though he’s sorely needed at wide receiver. But Bryant now has three catches for 38 yards.
OSU is running an offense that needs four or five flankers, and Larry Fedora has only two or three at his disposal. And only Adarius Bowman has been playing well. But maybe Bryant is coming around. On the first TD drive, Bryant made a leaping catch of a Robinson pass. And on the TD catch, Bryant displayed excellent footwork, barely getting one foot down just inbounds in the end zone.

Terry, you need to pay more attention to what is going on in Oklahoma. Google some of the oSu sports forums and real Cowboys fans will keep you up to date. Only reading an OPUBCO sports news source for accurate inforamtion on oSu athetics is like only reading the New York times or watching CNN to find out how things are going with the Bush administration! ;>)

Barry,
I am an OSU grad, class of 69′, who has bled orange for a very long time, even from the days of Phil Cutchin and Walt Garrison. Grew up in OK, then moved to TX and now reside in Atlanta where my only link to home is the Newsok Sports page. Your make-up column on Gundy’s rant seemed to be an excellent analysis and comment on the way things are. One point I wish you would make the next time you speak to him is that with all the secrecy he espouses out-of-sight supporters, like me, are left to wonder what the real problem is. When BReid is purported to be the best QB ever at OSU and he does not perform as such, my conclusion had been that Gundy & Fedora were not very good coaches..hence the article by Jenni was refreshing and I felt informative. She could have left off the example of his mother feeding him fried chicken to demostrate immaturityy and still made the salient points. In “the ATL” that observation would probably have brought out numerous racial police, while not really amplifying her points. Please pass on to her my thanks for shedding the light on the situation. Keep up the good work.
