Miami makes OU look good

The Big 12 stinks. I think we can officially make that claim, after Texas A&M’s performance in the Orange Bowl against
Miami. The Canes led 31-0 and won 34-17 after letting off the gas. Suddenly, Miami looks like a solid pick for the ACC title. Florida State’s not much. Virginia Tech can’t score. Georgia Tech fell flat against Boston College. Who you going to pick? Maybe Miami.

Which makes Oklahoma look very, very good. The Sooners took apart Miami 51-13, and it’s a good thing for the Big 12. Texas, Missouri, Texas Tech and Kansas have combined to beat only two teams from BCS leagues, Illinois and Ole Miss, neither rising above mediocrity.

A&M and OSU have laid dinosaur eggs. Nebraska was thumped at home by USC. The Big 12 has one, count ‘em one, marquee win in non-conference. Oklahoma over Miami. And it took the absolute failure of another Big 12 foe to let us know that Miami was worth a darn.

Why is that? They trounced Marshall 31-3 and Marshall dueled West Virginia to the 4th quarter. Miami also has a super freshman running back well known to all followers before the season to help thier run game from last year. Miami projected as a solid 8 to 9 win team. Also, Franchione is fraudulent. Defenses caught on to McGee. They have average passing at best and a fair to middlin defense at best. OSU is all media hype for the 50th year in a row. Pinkel is a lousy coach. Mack Brown is living off Vince Youngs super season. Look at last year. His program is filled with dope heads and crooks. He is losing control. By the way. A&M was lucky to beat Army last year! IF OU stays healthy and plays at a high level no big 12 team will come withing 2 TD’s this year. The talent and coaching gap is at its widest at this moment. Texas has talent but it is un-disciplined and frankly, overrated.OSU finished last two years ago and next to last in 2006. They have a poor defense and a totally unproven coach. Yet we were led to believe they had a USC quality offense witha coordinator that the whole world envied! Bobby Reid is all hype and we saw that Zak R. is no superstar. Guys like Dontrelle Savage and Bowman were hyped as better than Patrick and Malcom Kelly. I doubt Stoops would trade those guys even up. I think Lindys magazine had the OSU running backs #1 in the big 12 going into the year! I would say that Patrick and Murray fill that bill.

I agree Berry. The Big 12 is looking more and more like OU and the 11 Dwarfs. Here’s to another chance to ruin OU’s season with a Cowboys upset! ha ha
