Good points.  I have a different take on the last point. I agree that the retired fan is the casualty, but not the casualty of th e&quot;21st century order between media and college sports.  The retired fan is more the casualty of the overzealous fan who takes copious notes and has them posted within 20 minutes of the close of practice. (Heck, some of them are now taking their wireless PC and posting as practice runs).
