Happy birthday to BAM’s Blog!

On Feb. 14, 2008, I posted my very first entry on the brand-new BAM’s Blog: a list of my favorite films appropriate for Valentine’s Day viewing.

Since, the blog has become home to nearly 9,000 posts and more than 38,000 comments.  For the past two years, the blog has earned more than 1 million page views a year and developed a loyal fan base.

Check out the newly released trailer for the anticipated sci-fi adventure “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” adapted from the popular novel by Seth Grahame-Smith.

Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (“Wanted”), the movie stars Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell, Anthony Mackie and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Former White Stripes guitarist/singer Jack White will play March 15 at historic Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, the venue announced today.

Tickets will go on sale at noon Friday. Prices are set at $38 and $49. There will be a limit of four tickets per person.

Tulsa Concerts & Shows on wimgo

Tulsa-born singer/songwriter/guitarist St. Vincent will appear on tonight’s Valentine’s Day-theme episode of the teen drama series “Gossip Girl.” The show airs at 7 p.m. on the CW.

St. Vincent will perform her song “Cruel,” from her 2011 album “Strange Mercy.”

Choctaw-born and bred actor Ryan Merriman will appear as a guest star on tonight’s episode of the CBS series “Hawaii Five-0.”

He will play a character named Dennis Mack in the episode titled “I Helu Pu,” which is Hawaiian for “The Reckoning.”
