Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth was among the winners at Sunday night’s Primetime Emmy Awards. Chenoweth won her first Emmy for best supporting actress in a comedy series for the late, great ABC show “Pushing Daisies.”

Personally, I was surprised and ecstatic that Emmy voters remembered Chenoweth’s great performance as baker Olive Snook in the long-canceled series.

The 61st Primetime Emmy Awards will air from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday on CBS. Neil Patrick Harris, who is the current “it” host after presiding over the Tony Awards, will be hosting the Emmys for the first time.

Harris also is nominated for best supporting actor for his always-funny performance as Barney on “How I Met Your Mother.”

Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth will be the latest celebrity to temporarily fill Paula Abdul’s former seat on the “American Idol” judging panel, People.com is reporting.

The singer/actress will join Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi for the Orlando auditions later this week, according to People.
