See it: New “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” poster

Check out the new poster for the eagerly awaited sequel “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” featuring a battle-ready Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).

The poster features the tagline, “The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand,” which of course comes from the opening passages of the second book.

The MTV Movie Awards aired Sunday night, and in keeping with tradition, the Golden Popcorn statuettes were handed out to the winners, Aubrey Plaza and Will Ferrell pulled off what I suspect is one of the show’s signature wacky stunts, and the “Pitch Perfect” cast, including Muskogee native Ester Dean, rocked the house.

Hail to the chief and the hotties: More Capitol Portraits have been unveiled from the hotly anticipated sequel “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

As with the previously released “Catching Fire” posters, these Capitol Portraits are beautifully stylized and less-than-typical movie posters that also go along with the “Victory Tour” that District 12 heroes Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) must go on at the start of the second novel.
