Season 7 “American Idol” winner David Cook, who has Tulsa ties, has released today an EP titled “This Quiet Night” exclusively through Walmart. The CD includes acoustic performances of five songs from his 2011 album “This Loud Morning.”

Emerging pop singer-songwriter Cady Groves, who grew up in Marlow, Cache and Yukon, also is released today her “This Little Girl” EP.

“American Idol” winner David Cook is planning to return to Tulsa next month during his fall co-headlining tour with Gavin DeGraw.

The platinum-selling musicians announced today that they will embark on a national tour kicking off Oct. 9 at Penn State University. The U.S. tour, with opening act Carolina Liar, will wrap on Nov. 10 in Athens, Ga. The trek will make an Oct. 13 stop at historic Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa.

Season 7 “American Idol” winner David Cook, who has Tulsa ties, is performing tonight on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” The show airs from 10:35 to 11:35 p.m. on CBS (KWTV-9 in Oklahoma City), and Cook’s performance will cap the show.

Cook recently released his second post-”Idol” album, “This Loud Morning.” The album debuted at No. 7 on the cross-genre Billboard 200 chart.
