The All-American Rejects, who formed in 1999 in Stillwater, have released the music video to their new single “Beekeeper’s Daughter.”

“Beekeeper’s Daughter” is the first single from the band’s long-awaited new album “Kids in the Street,” due out March 27 on Interscope Records. The band also has revealed in a YouTube video the cover art for “Kids in the Street.”

“Kids in the Street” is the band’s first album since 2008′s “When the World Comes Down,” which spawned the smash “Gives You Hell.”

The All-American Rejects, who have Stillwater roots, will play tonight on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” The show airs at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.

The Rejects are promoting their forthcoming album “Kids in the Street,” due out March 27.

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and “30 Rock” star Tracy Morgan also will be on Fallon’s show tonight.

Due out in spring, the new album will be the follow-up to AAR’s 2008 effort “When the World Comes Down.” You’ll notice that the band doesn’t reveal the album title in these videos.

Stillwater native Tyson Ritter, frontman of pop/rock band the All-American Rejects, will appear on “Larry King Live” tonight as part of a special two-hour telethon “Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help.” The show will air from 7 to 9 tonight on CNN.

The star-studded event will raise funds for United Way, The National Wildlife Federation and The Nature Conservancy, organizations working directly with the families, individuals and wildlife affected by the devastating Gulf oil spill.

The song that has been on my brain the most this week:

- “Swing, Swing,” All-American Rejects, from the Stillwater band’s 2003 self-titled debut album.

This super-catchy pop hit tends to get stuck in my head whenever I hear it. The Rejects performed “Swing, Swing” and “Gives You Hell” Monday night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Frankly, I’ve heard the Rejects give much better performances of both songs, particularly “Swing, Swing,” but that didn’t stop the song from wedging itself in my gray matter. That’s that insidiously catchy.

Rascal Flatts

The 2010 Olympic Winter Games (airing on NBC and its sister channels) are going on now in the Great White North of Vancouver, British Columbia, and two bands with Oklahoma ties are offering music to U.S. athletes’ ears.

Country trio Rascal Flatts, which includes Joe Don Rooney of Picher, and pop-rockers All-American Rejects, who hail from Stillwater, are among the diverse lineup of artists who have contributed new recordings to the 2010 AT&T Team USA Soundtrack.

Marc Webb, who made his feature film directorial debut with last year’s excellent “(500) Days of Summer,” will helm the new “Spider-Man” film.  

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios confirmed today that he will be taking over the franchise, which is set for a reboot, according to the Associated Press.

The news follows last week’s revelation that Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire - who directed and starred in, respectively, the first three “Spider-Man” films – were leaving the franchise.
