Oklahoma City garage/surf/punk band The Boom Bang recently announced that it is breaking up as bassist Weston Lorance is moving to Los Angeles.

The band will play its last show at 8 p.m. Friday at The Opolis, 113 N Crawford in Norman. S—-y/Awesome and The Copperheads also will share the lineup. Fans are invited to bring the pizza, and The Boom Bang will bring the party.

Here is the breakup announcement the band made on Facebook:

The Boom Bang is finally coming to an end. We want to thank all of you guys for supporting us the past 4 years! They have been some of the best times or our lives! Weston is moving to Los Angeles to co-star in the new Star Wars movie as Jar Jar Weston at the end of the month. We are playing one last show at the Opolis on March 22nd. We will be posting more information about the show soon. Once again, thank you for supporting us and come out one last time to bid farewell to Weston before he moves away!
