“Trading Places” screenwriter Herschel Weingrod’s OU speech postponed to March 5

** RESCHEDULED ** Screenwriter Herschel Weingrod Presentation Norman, OK

NORMAN – Due to the storm and closing of the University of Oklahoma campus on Monday, screenwriter Herschel Weingrod’s presentation and screening of his hit 1983 comedy “Trading Places” has been moved to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 in the Kerr Auditorium of the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History at the University of Oklahoma, 2401 Chautauqua Ave.

Weingrod also has worked as the screenwriter for other comedy hits such as “Twins,” “Kindergarten Cop” and “Space Jam.” He will be talking about the importance of laughter along with the presentation and discussion of his film, according to a news release.

His appearance is part of the ongoing Nature of Laughter Presidential Dream Course hosted by Professors Andrew Horton and Joanna E. Rapf.
